… removed and given a heart of flesh.

Did I feel something, is that you Lord,
My heart seemingly skipped a beat.
Yes Lord, I’m here with all my inner noise,
Trying to listen and be attentive to You.
I remind myself You are with me, closer than my own breath.
Do I feel anything, sense anything?
No, I don’t think so? Or maybe it’s the calm,
That shows up when I return to the prayer, from all the inner and outer noise.
God of Love, make your promise complete in me, today if possible? You say you will remove my heart of stone and gift me with a heart of flesh. May it come to pass, may you make it so!
And the noise returns, the ideas, the worries, the fixes, the plans.
Then I say, back to You, my Beloved, back to our time to be together.
Turn me inward to be with You.
Turn my face toward Your presence.
Make me new again with my heart of flesh and spirit, that you made for me, for all.
Renew me in Your loving embrace as you help me realize I have always been acceptable, accepted, welcome, held, and cared for.
There is nothing that can separate me from You, nothing. Even my wandering away from you is futile, for you are with me, we carry One another, everywhere we go…
May I constantly know Your presence and Your compassion and mercy, for me, for all of us.
Thank you for Ezekiel, a guide back to You.
Amen
