Our being in Love’s Presence
We are here, built for Love and to participate in life and to relate to one another and the Holy of Holies. We are a beloved manifestation of a great Mystery engaged in a dance the Divine is patient to teach us as we move in our Beloved’s embrace to a most Sacred flow and rhythm.
Our lives and experiences are filled with the Sacred, can often seem challenging and difficult, yet beautiful and joyful. And yet, even with beauty and joy, suffering becomes a regular companion and guide for all of us. Even knowing we are held by our Beloved in the Holy Dance, our human-ness can allure us into a sense we are alone, separate, and or rejected.
Our culture is a good teacher, giving us lessons which often show us how far off the mark we can be as we seek to connect with and know our Beloved Divine. We can be hesitant and even resistant to accept the lessons of our lives. But our Holy Guide is faithful, even demonstrating through Jesus who asked “may the cup be taken from me” and eventually relented, accepting “Thy Eternal Will be done.” Each of us carries this inner Spark of the Divine guiding us away, when we pause and pray, have mercy and show me Thy Way.
As we grow into our becoming, as Spirit led children, our rebirth emerges and converges with the Mystery of Love that has been here the whole time. As we discover God’s Grace, Mercy, and Compassion, abides within and around us, we accept our “woe is me” human-ness and simultaneously marvel at our beloved-ness!
Our humanity recalls our humility which further enhances our sense and experience of our belovedness. Progress on the spiritual path, if we can consider such an odd word here, reveals itself as growing connection, transforming over time into a beautiful Union with the Divine! The Union our soul seeks, we discover, has been there the whole time, and we Knew it yet didn’t know it!
